After the show I was buzzing. Even without Daniel’s intervention it would have been an amazing experience. In some ways a dream come true. The truth was I’d had a blast. Without his meddling I’d never have done it. As infuriating as he was he had actually made good on his promise to keep pushing me to break my own rules. The last time it had been a lot darker, more sexual and more painful. This was actually kind of endearing. He’d done his research and made a dream come true.

As left the backstage area Molly came bounding across the room to give me a big hug. “You were so awesome. I’m so proud of you.”

I grinned sheepishly, “Thanks Molly. It’s beginning to feel like everyone was watching.”

“Hell yeah. You’ve become pretty popular since you started. Everyone wanted to see you dance.”

“So uh... are you going to stay for my set?”

“I.. well... I...” Molly looked around a little nervous and seemed uncharacteristically lost for words, “I kind of need to get back to first. Duty calls and all that.”

“Sure Molly. See you later.”

First Rose and now Molly. Something was going on. I had the distinct feeling that whatever Daniel had planned for me wasn’t over yet.
